Join us for one of our peer-led discussions on books based on faith and society.
Meets on select Fridays at 6:00 pm
Open books and journals on a table next to a plant and window.

Members and friends of St George's meet on select Fridays, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm via Zoom. There are participants from all parts of the country and even Mexico. We discuss books based on faith and society. All selections are chosen by group consensus.

The discussions are peer led and everyone is encouraged to participate. Attendance ranges from five to twelve people, depending on their various commitments and activities during the year.

Previous selections have included works of fiction and non-fiction:

  • From Strength to Strength by Arthur Brooks
  • Dinners with Ruth by Nina Totenberg
  • Jesus and John Wayne by Kristen Kobes Du Mez
  • Mystical Hope by Cynthia Bourgeault
  • His Truth is Marching On: John Lewis and the Power of Hope by Jon Meacham
  • The Guardians by John Grisham
  • The Meaning of Mary Magdalene: Discovering the Woman at the Heart of Christianity by Cynthia Bourgeault

Discussion is divided up by chapters, so that even if someone is not able to make it one week, they can then always pick up the discussion the next. Please come join us! We have a great time and it is all very low key.
